Update as of December 17, 2024:
Here are some updates regarding the Canada Post strike:
- Starting from 8:00 AM local time on December 17, 2024, Canada Post has resumed deliveries and is beginning to process mail and packages that have been stranded in the system since the strike began on November 15, 2024 (which lasted 32 days in total).
- Packages are being handled on a “first in, first out” basis, which means packages will be processed in the order they were received.
- Due to the significant backlog, it is estimated that it will take until January 2025 to clear all pending deliveries. As a result, delays in Canada Post’s delivery services are still expected.
- Canada Post will not start accepting new international mail until December 23, 2024.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience as Canada Post works to resolve the delays. If you have further questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact our customer service team.
We’ll continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they become available.
